[Feature Request] Add Support for Camo Camera in AI Content Describer

Dear AI Content Describer Development Team,

I hope this message finds you well. First of all, thank you very much for your incredible work on the AI Content Describer NVDA add-on, it has greatly enhanced my daily experience as a visually impaired user.

I am reaching out to request support for the "Camo Camera" as an alternative camera source in your add-on. Currently, the AI Content Describer functions perfectly when using my laptop's built-in camera, providing clear and helpful face position feedback (such as "Face clearly in view," "slightly above the center," etc.).

However, when selecting "Camo" (a popular software solution that turns smartphones into high-quality webcams) as the camera source, the add-on consistently reports:

"No face detected. Please ensure your face is in the frame and that your camera is not covered up."

This indicates that the add-on might not be fully compatible with the Camo camera software. Given the increasing popularity and reliability of Camo as a camera solution, adding support for it would significantly enhance the accessibility and flexibility of your add-on.

Camo offers numerous advanced features such as:

• High-resolution video support, up to 4K.
• Advanced camera controls including zoom, focus, exposure, and color adjustments.
• Compatibility across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
• Ability to utilize smartphone cameras, which typically offer superior quality compared to built-in webcams.

Implementing support for these features would greatly enhance the quality of face detection and positioning feedback provided by your add-on, offering a superior user experience for visually impaired individuals.

I sincerely hope that compatibility with Camo can be considered for future updates. It would be tremendously helpful for visually impaired users like myself who rely heavily on versatile accessibility tools.

I haven't heard of this app, but it certainly looks neat. I'm willing to try adding support for it, baring in mind that due to my current workload I can't make any promises or consider it high priority.
Worth noting that we might be limited on what we can do here, as support for different Cameras is going to ultimately depend on pygrabber which is essentially just a wrapper around DirectShow.

A question. If you choose the Camo Camera device and then try to "take a picture", what happens? Is the AI accurately describing the view from the connected phone's camera?

@cartertemm Thank you for your response.
Still not working. The AI says 'The image is extremely blurry and lacks clear definition'. However, when I take a picture using the Windows camera and select the Camo option, and then describe it using AI Content Describer, the result looks good. I've also tried using my external camera, a DV20 USB CAMERA, and the result is the same as with Camo - the image is blurry.
