How to Export Full JSON After Scan Completion in Cartography (without Neo4J)

Hi everyone,

I'm using Cartography via Docker to scan my AWS environment. The scan runs successfully and populates data into Neo4j. However, my requirement is to export the scan results as a single JSON file after the scan is complete — without needing to interact with the Neo4j UI or query the database manually.

What I need:

A full JSON file that includes:

• All discovered resources/assets
• All relationships between those resources

This export should happen after the scan, ideally from the Cartography run itself, or as a post-processing step, but without needing to run Cypher queries or interact with Neo4j directly.

Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Integration with Neo4j is required — there’s currently no plan to support other datastores (like raw JSON) in Cartography.

That said, Neo4j does support JSON export. You might want to check out this: https://neo4j.com/labs/apoc/4.1/export/json/

You could create a script after the sync is done to run a query from neo4j and then export it to some other source -- effectively this would be an ETL process
