Week 2 readings

General information

One-time setup

Please do the following:

• If on Windows:

  1. Install / confirm you have Git for Windows, particularly Git BASH.
     • There are a lot of options in the installer - safe to stick to the defaults.
  2. In the integrated terminal, Select Default Profile to be Git BASH. If you just installed Git BASH and it isn't appearing in the drop-down, try restarting VSCode.
  

• Confirm you have the following set up:

  • Python 3
  • Jupyter Book portfolio site

• Add your name pronunciation and pronouns

• Add your profile photo in Ed, the discussion tool

  1. Open Ed
  2. Click the icon in the top right
  3. Click Settings
  4. Add your photo

• Open CourseWorks notification settings and enable the following:

  • Grading
  • Submission Comment

• Fill out your GitHub profile - name, avatar, etc.
