SubtitleBlock is missing. Correct?

With PR #9294, a subtitle plugin has been introduced.

My expectation was to find a node subtitleBlock, similar to titleBlock that is currently in chart instance.

Is there any reason why it's not there? I think it's very helpful to have it.

Maybe, titleBlock node name sounds to be not 100% aligned with other nodes.

Maybe it should be added. You can get the subtitle box in 3.4 for example:
chart.boxes.filter(box => box.constructor.name === 'Title' && box !== chart.titleBlock).pop()

I have tested but the code you wrote here doesn't work with minified version of chart.js.

Right, the constructor name gets minified. This works for both versions:
