I want to contribute in chartjs but I don't know where to start

I want to contribute to this project. But I do not know where to start. I have experience programming, but not contributing to an open source project and I want to go to the next level, and I think it is contributing to a great project.

Can you tell me the guidelines of what I need to know or learn to be in chart.js?

I think the best way to get started would be to look through the open issues and find something that you're interested in. Once you've found something that you like, I would recommend that you comment on the issue with a proposed solution that we can discuss. Once there is agreement on the solution, you can send a PR. It's also fine to send PRs for any open issue, but in that case I can't guarantee that we'll accept the solution.

Thanks for answering. I'm interested in learning about creating canvas graphics and I think the best way is to contribute to this great project. I will follow your advice
