Issue playing on iOS

So this is a weird one. I’ve been having this issue for awhile now.

Any time I try and play some music from my instance on iOS it doesn’t play anything and doesn’t even let me press the stop button. The play button is clickable but then just stays as the stop button.

I’ve tried mutiple different browsers on iOS. Safari, Brave, Firefox, Chrome but none seem to fix the problem. It also doesn't seem to work on iPad OS or Mac OS. The weird part is that it's working just fine elsewhere.

I thought it might be because I’m using http but I tried the Demo page that uses https and that didn’t work either.

So I went into Safari settings and cleared out anything that might be causing an issue (ie cache, cookies, extensions) and nothing has worked.

Any idea here? I'm all out of ideas.

I’m aware of this issue - it’s the same for me. There’s something with how Safari supports the browser Web MediaSource API. It also doesn’t work on Safari for macOS, but it works in Chrome and Firefox because they use different engines instead of Apple’s WebKit.

On iOS, it’s a little different - as I understand it, all browsers use the same WebKit engine due to Apple’s policy.

I haven’t looked into the problem in detail yet, but it’s definitely worth investigating.

Ah okay. That’s good to know. At least I can rule out an issue on my end.

I appreciate all the work you’ve done with the app. It’s really great.
