Dev labelled as 1.6.1 and "frozen"

I'd like to leave dev for a few days; if all is well I'll bring main up to 1.6.1.

Please post here if you think there are any problems on the dev branch that would prevent release.

This could be considered a "minor" issue but, it's pretty noticeable.

If it's an easy fix, it would be nice to have it fixed in 1.6.1 or 1.7

The "feature part" could be added as a separate issue, in a later version.

I think the bug part is fixed on dev (1.6.1). Maybe you could check!
