I've just started using Tududi and it works great. This would be very helpful to have stand-alone tasks (and notes) for an area rather than a project. 👍 |

Currently every task must live inside a project. Tududi very helpfully implements the “Area of Responsibility” paradigm (e.g. Health, Finances, Family), but in my current system these often contains single-step actions that never become a multi-step project. I could put these into a dummy project but this feels like tricking the system and also scatters tasks across the “All tasks” view, making focused area reviews difficult.
Proposal
When creating or editing a task, the user can leave the project selector empty as now, but there is an additional dropdown labelled Area.
Here, the task appears:
Benefits
I think this would assist in making sure next actions within the system are more broadly aligned with my ongoing Areas (or else it's time to define new areas!) without having list of orphaned tasks because they don't fit into a project. I'd be interested to hear what others think about this.
