Today view shows daily recurring tasks from tomorrow

I have set up some daily recurring tasks to remind me to do some habits, like doing exercises for my knee.
When I mark the task for today as done the same task for tomorrow keeps showing up in my view for today.
I understand that tasks with a close due date should be shown here, but now daily tasks will always be shown here even when done for the day.

Is there a way to hide daily recurring tasks from this view?
