Actually, CIMTool 2.3.0 is just about ready to be released and is in beta testing with a number of users which should wrap up in the next two weeks. In direct response to your question, this release will fully support the CGMES and European Network Code extensions and, in general, the ENTSO-E CIM Profiling Guidelines publication. It will have probably the most significant set of enhancements within a release as we've had in a number of years and thus why it has taken a bit longer. Hopefully this fits your timeline?

@guipborges : Let me know if you would like a beta release in advance. It should be very simply to upgrade when the final is issued. Also, how are you targeting to utilize CIMTool with your CGMES model? Are you looking to generate RDFS profiles? Review existing IEC61970-452 profiles (or -456 profiles)? Or are you working to develop custom profiles against the model?

Yes, I’d be glad to try out a beta release in advance — it would be very helpful.

Regarding your question: I’m planning to use CIMTool primarily to work with CGMES profiles, especially for editing or validating profiles like EQ, SSH, TP, and others used in data exchange between TSOs and RCCs.

In particular, I intend to use it to support daily workflows involving CGMES under ENTSO-E environments (e.g. OPDE), and eventually to generate or validate RDF/XML outputs as required for inter-TSO data exchange.

@guipborges : I apologize for this response getting to you so late! I was working most of last week in an alternate time zone/schedule due to some standards meetings (and then was traveling). We have a CIMTool CGMES "reference project" that has a private GitHub repo on the UCA GitHub org site. This is not public yet as we're adding the new sample documentation project for the 2.3.0 release. Let me know what you think you may need. Perhaps we could arrange an offline chat to get you that.
