Desktop app cannot request notification permission

Describe the bug

Pretty simple issue - open Cinny Desktop (v4.2.1), log in, navigate to user settings, notifications, and try to request notification permissions.

On the web app, this will prompt permission from the browser, and will then turn into a toggle. However, the desktop app appears to be a no-op - no error message logged, no acknowledgement of the button click

Reproduction

1. Download Cinny Desktop (v4.2.1)
2. Log in
3. Navigate to user settings
4. Navigate to Notifications
5. Press "request permission"

Expected behavior

Permission is requested or given for the app to send notifications

From the discussion in matrix room, the notifications actually works, the only issue is the button that doesn't respond and no sound of notifications.

System Windows Notifications appeared in Windows left sidebar (or corner, depends on notify mode), but without sound (even if sound is on for notification in Windows settings and in app)

Can confirm, on Linux the button does nothing and I do not get any notifications.

Same. Doesn't work on the Windows client (though the notifications work) or Ubuntu (still get notifications though).

I can confirm that on Linux/Wayland notifications come through but the button doesn't do anything apparent.

MacOS, no notification sound nor prompt when trying to enable notifications.

I get no notifications nor notification sounds on Arch Linux (using the AUR package cinny-desktop-bin)

I'm also using this package, tried the flatpak too, I'm on arch and clicking the Enable button on desktop notifications does nothing and i don't receive any notifications or sounds when messaged :(

The "enable" button works, but the "Desktop Notifications" switch is grayed out with the error message: Notification permission is blocked. Please allow notification permission from browser address bar..
