Constantly repeating “Connection lost! Reconnecting” → “Connecting”

Describe the bug

The desktop app constantly runs into “Connection lost! Reconnecting” → “Connecting”. It takes a while to connect, then i have a few minutes of peace, then the whole thing starts again.

This happens against my homeserver that is running on the same network. Matrix.org doesn’t exhibit the problem.

It also works fine in Cinny web, and other clients (Element, nheko).

Reproduction

1. Open Cinny.
2. Wait.

Expected behavior

It connects once and stays connected.

Platform and versions

1. OS: Fedora 43
2. Cinny Version: 4.11.1/4.11.2
3. Matrix homeserver: self-hosted (Continuwuity)
4. Dwonloaded from: both Flatpak and AppImage (Github)

Additional context

Web on top, desktop on bottom:

There is no apparent regularity to the timing. Sometimes it happens after less than a minute, sometimes it takes 2 …

Is this also an issue for you on the web version of Cinny? Also is it an issue for you on another client?
