Description

Hi,

We updated the Jalapeno stack (jalapeno-api-gateway/jalapeno-helm#8) and found an issue when upgrading to a newer Kafka version. It turned out that if the timeout is not explicitly set, it defaults to 0 and results in an immediate timeout. In fact, interaction with Kafka was not possible.

The PR includes applying the timeout and fixing the mentioned problem.

We tested our setup on our local Talos cluster, and it worked fine.
Please test it with your current installation method and version as well.
