Start here: https://github.com/papermerge/papermerge-core/blob/master/docker/standard/Dockerfile I hardly can help you more if you don't describe here what you have tried and where you were stuck. |

Hey folks,
for some weeks now I tried, without success, to install this (as I was told) fine piece of software on a small dedicated server, without the docker overhead.
Today I gave up and now I need a shoulder to cry on.
Why is there virtually no documentation available? Even the docker install is barely documented. I am not new to linux, not new to servers and networks, I would be new to docker if I wanted that, but I am certainly able to follow instructions and even out smaller or even bigger ripples on the way to my goals. And I am certainly able to follow instructions.
This:
paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx#5822
is why the decision was way easier than anticipated in the end, to turn to paperless-ngx instead. There were changes in the meantime as well, which I had to correct and circumvent, but it's a rock solid base document to get an install done!
I do not even know what I am missing out on, because I never got papermerge to work. And when I started, it sounded like the optimal solution for my needs. Shame...
I will still give it a try if anyone would be so kind to point me to some substantial docs from which I can piece together a viable docker-free install path for me (preferrably on current debian stable). Otherwise I have to live with what I found and what got to work.
Cheers, tc mwrsa
