Highly recommend following next.dndkit.com as that is where I am investing all development efforts. It is production ready but some APIs may change in the future before the 1.0.0 release |

Hi @clauderic 👋
First, thanks a lot for the amazing work on dnd-kit — it’s been really valuable to the React community.
I’m currently evaluating dnd-kit for a new project, and I noticed there are two documentation sites:
Legacy (@dnd-kit/core / docs.dndkit.com
)
Next (next.dndkit.com
) which states “production ready” and recommends itself over the legacy version.
This left me a bit confused:
Is dnd-kit still being actively developed/maintained?
Which version do you recommend for production projects right now — the current @dnd-kit/core release, or the new “next” version?
What is the roadmap for “next”? Will it become the mainline/stable release soon?
If I start with the legacy version today, will migration to “next” be straightforward later?
Any guidance on which path to take would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Thanks for your time and for maintaining this project!
