Delayed releases - "preview"

I am not at liberty to say what is or is not happening in the world of our author. That being said, as not everybody builds from source, I have updated the "combined" branch of my fork and put up a "pre-release" debug build for testing and feedback. Ultimately, which items are included is up to author upon return. Feel free to try it out and/or break it. I have opened a discussion on my fork for this so please report issues there. This is mostly so I can make changes or repairs if needed before submitting another PR.
