The latest release takes diagram editing to a whole new level. With guided, layout-driven editing, even less technical users can create complex diagrams intuitively. In 4.2, you’ll also find a brand-new Layers API, faster performance for large graphs, and seven new boilerplate apps to speed up your development.

This is a fantastic update! Was just playing with the HTMLCanvas example and this will be huge for large projects. I'd love to learn more about this, and ask if there was any alpha plans for it - would be very interested in trying that out as that would greatly solve some issues I'm dealing with on large graphs.
