I started doing some scrubbing on the User Manual. The overall ideas are:

  • Remove most mentions of CIDER pre-1.0 and the behavior from the days of yore.
  • Remove mentions of Boot.
  • Trim the compatibility matrix to include the last version before CIDER raised the minimal version of either nREPL, Java, or Clojure. Also remove pre-1.0 versions.

lock-step — they have different versions. Usually, any recent version of
cider-nrepl should be (mostly) compatible with a recent version of CIDER. You
can check the required version of cider-nrepl for your version of CIDER by
looking at `cider-required-middleware-version`.

Maybe we can also add a pointer to the compatibility matrix here.
