I need this message never to show. It blocks agentic code tools from working properly with cloudflare, and occurs when running a d1 command. I have been told that's not possible to stop that message, i can see others have asked for its removal and still it persists. This is a major bug and creating major compatibility problems to the effect of having to re-architect projects from using D1.

Possible to fast track this?

The prompt is only presented interactive mode, if you run you command in non-interactive mode the prompt should never get shown.

To run a wrangler command in non-interactive mode you can just define a CI environment variable, for example like this:

CI=1 npx wrangler d1 delete my-db

Do you think that running the command in non-interactive mode would work for you?

@dario-piotrowicz thanks for bringing that mode up, I actually wasn't familiar with it.

That said, it would be valuable to be able to set that in some sort of environment variable when using wrangler in the context of agentic coding. Not only helpful, mandatory in this new world of coding moving forward.

A couple of things here.

• Any user caused error should never be reported to our metrics anyway. D1 user errors have consistently been over-reported, so we should tighten that up.
• It makes sense to allow the user to block the question even in interactive mode. At one point we were going to provide an extra CLI param --metrics-opt-out but that never appeared.

I agree we should add the ability to hard opt-out even when interactive. I propose a simple env var that can be applied to any wrangler invocation:

WRANGLER_SENTRY_OPT_OUT=true wrangler d1 ...

Actually we already have an env var: WRANGLER_SEND_METRICS. If this is explicitly false then we should not ask for confirmation and just not send error reports.

@petebacondarwin as a note, @dario-piotrowicz suggested the wrangle command CI=1 which does remove the interactive prompt, but this functionality needs to be also possible via .toml setting
