certificate not renewing automatically

Since a few days I get this alert:

The cert `barman-cloud-client` is 16d 21h 39m 15s from expiry, it should have renewed over a week ago.

I run 0.7.0.

The barman-cloud-client certificate is managed by cert-manager as a Certificate resource, with a 90-day duration and set to renew 15 days before expiry. If it's not renewing, the most common causes are: cert-manager is not running, the Certificate or Issuer resource is in a failed state, or the selfsigned-issuer is misconfigured or unavailable.

Check the status of the Certificate and Issuer with:

kubectl describe certificate barman-cloud-client -n cnpg-system
kubectl describe issuer selfsigned-issuer -n cnpg-system

Look for any errors or warning conditions. Also, review cert-manager logs for renewal errors around the expected renewal time.

There are no known issues in the plugin-barman-cloud repo about certificate renewal failures in 0.7.0, and the deployment and secret configuration for the certificate look correct. Renewal is entirely handled by cert-manager, not the plugin itself, so troubleshooting cert-manager and the Certificate resource is the best next step.
