• Toolbox project
  • For useful project in Sandbox / incubation project that would not ever be able to graduate and everybody love it
  • It would be a "project of projects" inside the CNCF
  • Projects can request to be moved to "Toolbox"
  • Is "mature" tools that is "production ready"
  • Show more trust than being a "old sandbox" project
  • Toolbox is not an entry point, Sandbox it still the entry point for CNCF projects
  • The exact criteria still need to be determine
  • "Handy scripts" and "utilliy tooling" that do not meet the Sandbox bar can not become toolbox projects
  • Next step:
    • Initial proposal would be published in the TOC repo and TAG would be invited to comment & contribute
    • TAG can propose candidate toolbox project
    • List of projects lifecycle ages would be helpful to judge "old unmoving" projects
    • Project that are "very project specific" might do better as subprojects under there project - Could be constiders.
• Project moving levels updates: TOC have several project under review for project review. TOC would try and complete all reviews assigned to them before TOC election result May 12
  • After the election new TOC members will shadow current members to get up to speed to work through the next set of applications.
  • Project review are done FIFO
