What to do if my cockit version is 314?

What to do if my cockit version is 314 and my OS-Vendor doesn't have a newer package available (Bianbu OS - Risc-V).

I guess compiling from scratch might be worth a try.

But I fail on step 2 of the HACKING.md:

I guess something has to be done different on RISC-V or I'm doing it completely wrong in the first place (very possbile).
