Cannot connect to Pub400

I cannot connect to pub400.com though VS Code. First time I have tried. I am using the most recent versions. "Code for IBM i" version is v2.15.3. VS Code is 1.99.3.

It goes through about 20 checks and finally says "Not connected to pub400.com!!". Seems to fail on "Fetching conversion values". Tried on 2 different laptops.

I'm using port 2222 and my password is correct. I can login fine via ssh command and a 5250 session. I really don't want to use the SEU editor on pub400, yuk. Can anyone help me? Thanks
