OVERVIEW

This issue improves the core interaction patterns of the AI Chat and Letter Generator across all entry points (landing, menu, and in-chat transitions). The current experience allows users to reach letters through both pathways and can unintentionally confuse the users. We will define cleaner distinctions between Chat and Letter, introduce stronger guidance for letter creation, and ensure users can confidently draft, finalize, and save/export letters. This ensures feature parity and clarity regardless of how users enter the tools.

• Letter Flow Refinements
  • define whether chat is embedded helper with clear guidance/pop-ups, or used only for content refinement at the certain stage of the process and everything else is accommodated with type forms.
  • Potential Flow before AI Chat is embedded
    • Create Letter Welcome page (Disclaimer/Instructions/What to Expect)
    • Add Eligibility step (which state are they from) if needed
    • Add the same Qs like city, type of housing, and issue (if based on their issue letter cannot be generated, we can have a pop-up about it. Alternatively, we can ask about city, type of housing, and then type of letter they would like to write and provide available options (e.g., requesting repairs, disputing illegal landlord entry, return of security deposit, lease viollation, illegal fee) (We need to discuss more what is the easiest approach)
    • Generate Letter template based on the type off letter or housing issue (depending on the logic we choose)
    • Use AI chat bot prompts to clarify content and modify the letter
    • Create FINALIZE button if they want to fill personal information and download, add privacy disclaimer: info won’t be saved
    • Create EXIT and give option to copy and paste before if they don't want to go forward with the next step
    • If user choose FINALIZE, they will see a form to add personal info on the next screen
      • After filling the form with personal info, confirm users will be able to preview and download on next screen.
      • Preview of the letter and export options (Word, PDF, txt)
