- I find I don't need a ton of memory when I find nice quantized models

- Check out Hugging FAce's page (they are where I find such models): https://huggingface.co/docs/optimum/en/concept_guides/quantization

- quantization is when the model is kind of compressed, so you need less memory etc. but you are losing so the more compressed you get the results are worse

- ## [[My Notes]] - GREAT TALK
19+
- [[Person/Tim O'Reilly]] talks about an architecture of participation in AI
20+
- he also has an "AI disclosures project"
21+
- many disclosures are "functional disclosures" (what does this mean?)
22+
- he mentions "fixing without understanding" blog post
23+
- Quotes Amanda Bernard, Director of Product Design, Honeycomb.io
24+
- > “AI is the most exciting innovation in design since I started doing it 25 years ago.”
25+
- > “MCP lets us bring people the experiences they need and want. That's why it's an MVP of AI IMO.”
26+
- [[Key Insight]], their product people WILL talk in Claude Desktop to ask questions
27+
- #Quote:
28+
- > [[MCP]] is its own living documentation
29+
- Checkout the screenshots in the slides which show how to use an [[Observability]] program using [[Anthropic/App/Claude Desktop]]

- #Advice for #MCP
51+
- > “Give it quite a bit of guidance, in ways you wouldn’t like or find acceptable for people.”
52+
- BTW this is from someone who has the title "Austin Parker, Product Lead, MCP"
53+
- Give really great [[Error/Message]]s
54+
- [[Example/Bad]]
55+
- > Invalid parameters: query validation failed - check that calculations have required columns, time ranges are valid, and filters use supported operators
56+
- [[Example/Good]]
57+
- > This query uses the same column for 'group
58+
by' and 'count distinct', which means the
59+
query would group your data by column and
60+
then also try to count distinct instances of
61+
that column within each group. As a result,
62+
'count distinct' would return 1 for every group.
63+
Try re-running this query with a different
64+
'group by' or 'count distinct' option
65+
- Errors in the process are not failures, they are part of the process #Quote from [[Person/Jessica Kerr]]

68+
evaluation, AI could optimize
69+
the software for us.”
