Build Scheme not found when building for flutter flavor

When building flutter project with the flag --flavor production the installing depdencies part fails with this output
Build failed :| Scheme "production" not found from repository! Please reconfigure your project.

and the build command is working fine in my local setup
flutter build ios --release --flavor=Production

For me it worked when I made the schemes shared, initially while creating the scheme I did not check the shared check box.
