Auto trigger a build on pubspec.yaml version changed

Steps to reproduce

1. I change the version to a new value.
2. I push it to the repository
3. Codemagic detect version field has been changed, start a build.

Expected results

Codermagic start a build only when the version changed

Hello @ChauCM, so you are manually editing the pubspec.yaml file, and you would like the build to be triggered only when you make changes to this file?

Yes, we have one codebase that can build two separate but similar apps. Normally, after we are done with bug fixes and feature development, we would push a commit name "bump version" to increase the version number as well as build number.

After this is just flutter build bundle, ipa, etc.

I'm just wondering if Codemagic have a way to detect changes in this line and start a build so I don't have to leave my IDE.

You can try to specify and automate workflow behavior by using when keyword to run or skip a build depending on the specified changeset and condition states.
You can specify the files to watch in changeset by using the includes key.
Something like this

workflows:
  sample-workflow:
    name: Sample App workflow
    triggering:
      events:
        - push
    when:
      changeset:
        includes:
          - 'pubspec.yaml'
