Flutter app build fails: Codemagic injects --example flag in dart pub get even with YAML workflow

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a Flutter app project (not a plugin, no example/ folder used for build).
2. Configure the project for iOS, including valid GoogleService-Info.plist, correct Bundle ID, and all required iOS files.
3. Add a codemagic.yaml workflow (see below) with full cache cleaning, diagnostics, and manual build steps.
4. Push the project to GitHub and connect it to Codemagic, using "YAML only" mode.
5. Start a new iOS build using the workflow from codemagic.yaml.
6. Observe the build logs, especially the dependency resolution steps.

Expected results

1. The pipeline should run flutter pub get (or dart pub get) without any --example flag, as this is not a plugin project.
2. The build should proceed normally, generate the .ipa file, and complete successfully.

Actual results

1. The build fails silently or with dependency errors.
2. In the logs, Codemagic injects the --example flag into the dart pub get command, even though the project is an app and not a plugin.
3. All references to --example have been removed from the repository and pipeline, but the flag still appears in the build logs.
4. Manual cache cleaning and all recommended diagnostics do not resolve the issue.

Hi @carlos-raposo, I see your workflow includes a number of unnecessary commands, and it seems this was your only build so far. My suggestion is to start from scratch. Add your app again to Codemagic and this time choose Flutter (via workflow editor) as a project type.

Workflow editor is more user-friendly especially for users who are just getting started.
Then follow this step-by-step guide which will help you set up all the necessary requirements in the editor.

But, if you prefer to continue using codemagic.yaml, please refer to this example configuration as a good starting point. You can also follow this guide to properly set up your YAML workflow.
