Not connected after waking from sleep

Coder Desktop does not seem to stay connected or reconnect when my machine wakes from an overnight sleep.

The hostname aliases to my workspaces no longer work. When I try to disconnect Coder Connect by toggling it off, it just hangs.

I am able to exit and restart Coder Desktop and everything works fine.

This is on a corporate machine using Zscaler.

Hi @chazmo03, is your Coder deployment also accessible only over Zscaler?

This could be related to #147, for which we are working towards a solution.

@matifali I'm not 100% sure. Zscaler is always active on my machine. This sounds like a different issue as I am able to connect most of the day. It's only after waking from a long sleep when it is unable to connect.

Specifically, when I try to ssh:

ssh: Could not resolve hostname {my-workspace}: No such host is known.

@matifali we do not have DERP enabled.

Could you please provide service logs? They can usually be found in C:\Program Files\Coder Desktop. NOTE that these files do currently have secrets in them, so you will probably want to blank them out. I would delete them all, reproduce this again, then send me all the logs in the folder.

You can send the logs to my email, which is <my first name>@<github org>.com

Wanted to follow up with some logs here for the past 36 hours or so. Also, I realized that my workspace shuts down over night, likely circa 8pm and auto starts again at 8:15am Easter time.

I think this may have been a bug that we've already fixed in Coder server v2.23 onwards. Could you please provide:

• Coder Desktop version
• Coder server version (it's in the user dropdown in the dashboard)

• Desktop: 0.6.3.0
• Server: v2.23.2+75e7a93

These appear to be the latest versions, and I can confirm I am still seeing the issue this morning.
