Hidden errors when messing up group configuration

When I do the following steps for a round:

• "Configure group count"
• Set to 3
• "Configure groups"
• Delete the second group --> group 1 and 3 are left
• "Assign Competitor and Judging Assignments"

Then no judges are assigned, and I get a bunch of errors in the dev console log:

Expected behavior: Either assign judges, or show a clear error to the user explaining them how to fix the group configuration.
