I especially love how the Nomai are portrayed and their efforts, which feel completely true to the original game. The moment when I opened that certain door absolutely blew my mind!

Having played all the top-downloaded story mods, this is definitely top-tier quality. I believe the lack of translations might be why it's not getting the attention it deserves.

As a Chinese player, I’ve created a Chinese translation using AI tools and manually fixed mistranslations during gameplay. I’d like to share this translation file to help other Chinese players enjoy the mod without struggling with translation apps.

While my translation isn’t perfect (I kept most original terms like place/person names), it makes the mod fully playable and understandable. I hope better Chinese translations emerge in the future!

Sorry for letting this just sit for so long, I've been fairly busy lately. Can I ask what AI tool you used for your translation? Was it just the deepl thing talked about at https://nh.outerwildsmods.com/guides/translation/ ?

Oh! I didn't know about this DeepL tool. What I do is pull all the text into Excel, have GPT-4 translate it chunk by chunk, then put it back in the game. When I hit confusing parts while playing, I just check the original English and work it out myself.

I see. I don't fully trust GPT to do a translation (since it's not purpose-built for such a thing). You're certain you checked every line in the file for correctness and sentiment?

One other thing to note is that there are some things that are harder to catch that I've outlined in https://github.com/coderCleric/DeepBramble/blob/main/translation_notes.txt. Additionally, it looks like your translation might not be translating planet names on the map mode of the ship log.

Sorry, as I mentioned earlier, this isn't a particularly polished translation. I’ve kept many proper nouns (like character and planet names) untranslated, as my main goal was simply to ensure the game remains playable without comprehension issues.

In China, most of us have a basic understanding of English, but translating the text primarily helps improve reading speed—avoiding the need to pause and translate sections manually or switch to translation tools frequently. So, my intention was to lower the barrier for players rather than provide a fully localized version.

You’re right about terms like "sit," "pet," etc.—I didn’t translate those. Perhaps using a tool like DeepL could yield better results. Feel free not to include my translation in the official package; I’ll share the link in the mod’s comment section instead.
