Read preferences + other arguments not supported #79

Hello, I saw that read preferences are not currently supported. There's 2 PRs that are open that seem to take a stab at fixing this, is there any ETA on when these might be merged + included as part of some release? Is there anyone that should be tagged for PR reviews? Thank you!
Similarly, is there any plan to support readPreferenceTags or a maxStalenessSeconds argument, or should an open source contributor take that on?
