Weights range

Can anyone explain the proper range in ComfyUI? I am having a hard time understanding how it works coming form A1111. It feels like anything going beyond 1.5 starts to break. Is (prompt) the same as (prompt:0) or (prompt:1). I've been using the solution from Advanced CLIP Text Encode but even using that I can't get the same results. Not the exact same picture but the same amount of details, colors, depth etc. Weights feel so much more different in ComfyUI. I've read the discussions about this and the ComfyUI developer not wanting to have it the way A1111 did because he thinks is wrong. I've going crazy for 3 days messing around with weights in order to get something remotely similar.
