An improved fork of the nginx-proxy-manager and comes as a pre-built docker image that enables you to easily forward to your websites running at home or otherwise, including free TLS, without having to know too much about Nginx or Certbot.

While Nginx Proxy Manager is a little buggy in some cases, and not actively developed, NPMplus should be a lot better AND is actively developed. Hope you could include it on this great site!

Looks like there's already a request script #714 for npmplus. A dedicated script for npmplus would be awesome!

I moved to NPMplus months ago, from NPM, and I've never looked back - it's just better in everyway (mostly due to it being very actively developed by ZoeyVid). Would love to see this available as a LXC Helper Script.

The whole project is too difficult for me to understand because it has changed so much from NPM. In many places it is unclear to me what exactly is happening here, what is needed. Why is there a caddyfile etc. pp?

I've also avoided looking at it so far because of all the crowdsec stuff, lua, and so on.

I think we probably need help here from the dev (@ZoeyVid) himself that we can get this to a bare-metal install.
By the way, if you read this, im an german too, we can communicate in our language 😄

Aber mal dennoch die frage, wozu? Das Ganze wird so oder so kaputtgehen auf Dauer durch Updates oder eben outdated sein, weil neuere Version noch eine andere lib/nginx Modul/script/etc. brauchen. Vorteile gegenüber Docker sehe ich auch nicht, ob es nun ein docker container oder linux container (lxc) ist, macht am Ende auch kein Unterschied, gut eine richtige (K)VM wäre da was anderes, aber dann bleibt der Aufwand, besonders bei Updates. Ja, NPMplus kann ohne Docker laufen, aber dafür ist es nicht optimiert und gedacht, ich halte euch nicht ab, aber so wirklich erschließt sich mir das ganze nicht, wozu der Aufwand. Openappsec oder crowdsec wird sicherlich auch alles funktionieren, aber noch umständlicher sein.

Aber für den nginx build, bei den releases ist der Dateiname der tar.xz entsprechend der Ausgabe von uname -m, in dem lib Ordner sind System libs, openssl Module und dynamische nginx Module, in dem Dockerfile kannst du sehen, wo die jeweils hin müssen.

Im Grunde genommen ist es mir relativ egal, mir reicht auch nur NPM in der Repo, das läuft auch einwandfrei. Viele haben sich aber deine Repo gewünscht. Generell sind LXCs hier deutlich beliebter als Docker, da man eben die volle Macht hat. Ich schau es mir in den nächsten Tagen mal an, ob der Aufwand noch annehmbar ist, oder ob ich es einfach im dockge lxc (docker) implementiere 😀

I just saw this and it made me happy, but looking through the script it uses Docker???
Since Docker is not recommended by Proxmox within an LXC, it would be nice to have an easy way to see it runs Docker.

This is an absolute exception, as otherwise the script cannot be built. It uses 2 different repos, which are updated daily in the best case. Making such a script baremetal is just as much of a leg break as Frigate. Otherwise, if there are objections, it will be removed again, but then it will not be edited again.

I don’t care it has it, but I think it should be easy to see if it has … nothing more.
