maybe i am wrong.. but doesn't this mean, the script will install debian 12?

The LXC hosts 1,7gb after installation.. this is not a problem.. but maybe a little bit big for just a webserver?

I was testing.. also what happens on update..

• info on website says "Config file is at /opt/revealjs/gulpfile.js". this file will be overwritten on update.. so config is not consistent..
• same on index.html, which is typicaly the main file to edit.

What is the typical way to use update without loosing those to files / data?

Are you really THAT pressed over 700 MB of disk space? I'm curious if you're just this bored to ask these questions?
If 700MB of hard disk space is your biggest problem, port the script to alpine and be done with it.

naahh.. it's not about beeing bored =)
I like minimalism.. but, as i said: it's not a problem.
i am totaly ok with it.. i was just curious about the reasons for choosing this distribution over - for example - alpine

We could consider adding an alpine version to the script. We generally support both versions, but you have to weigh up the effort involved. If it's really worth it to you, please submit a feature request under Issues.

@demlak i might sound annoyed, but i'm not, trust me. I just wouldn't bother with that level of optimization so its rather strange to me that other people do it.
