I'm having the same problem, I can't get the configuration inside the .env to work so I can send emails. Were you able to solve it? |

I was not , I need to add users and cannot at this time. I tries various ports and 2 different email address and toggled on/off Does anyone have the specifics of any email service the the exact parameters we can apply here? A free service preferably, but paid will work too. Thank you for any one that has time to help explain this. |

Hi, i tryed with docmost - at first try: so now, after 30min of tests, i get an solution, there are not enough smtp envs in the file. Use this: nano /opt/docmost/.env # SMTP driver config
SMTP_HOST=smtp.ionos.de
SMTP_PORT=587
SMTP_USERNAME=[email protected]
SMTP_PASSWORD=YourMailPassword
SMTP_SECURE=tls
SMTP_IGNORETLS=false
MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS=[email protected]
MAIL_FROM_NAME="Docmost"Adjust the host of course, I've left it in as an example |

I just tested with swaks and I can indeed connect without problems with the credentials configured within the .env
root@docmost:/opt/docmost# swaks --to ******@gmail.com --server smtp.hostinger.com:465 --auth LOGIN Thanks for your answers and for the Swaks thing, I didn't know about it. Now I'm restarting docmost using systemctl but I still can't get it to send emails. |

After resend invitation whats the Output in systemcTl? Sometimes it need 1min to log it |

Using the following command I was able to send an email without problems from the server swaks --to @gmail.com --from [email protected] --server smtp.hostinger.com --port 465 --auth LOGIN --auth-user alertas@.com --auth-password "" --tls-on-connect When I look at the logs I find no errors root@docmost:/opt/docmost# mailq Thanks for all your help. I will keep checking |

Can we add a USER to postgres db instead of using email? I cannot get the email to send to create and verify a new user. If anyone can help in this regard I would so much appreciate it. I absolutely love Docmost but need to had users. |

Hi @Bob-Tek, founder of Docmost here. In v0.84 we introduced an option for admins to copy user invite sign up links. You will find the option in the pending invites action menu. |

Thank you, I upgraded to .84.
The option now exists to copy the link and it reports as “Link copied” but it does not copy it.

I was having trouble with copying the invite link and this worked for me. Not sure why but the invite link wasn't working even tho i'm access docmost through a reverse proxy and I have the APP_URL set to the proxy url. |

I continue having trouble adding my email to either of these container scripts.
For Docmost I'm adding it to the .env fail but it does not seem to work, I'm using the basic parameters I have in my outlook instance:
#SMTP driver config
SMTP_HOST=securemail.aplus.net
SMTP_PORT=465
SMTP_USERNAME=[email protected]
SMTP_PASSWORD=MyPassword
SMTP_SECURE=true
SMTP_IGNORETLS=false
Can anyone shed light on a mistake I may be making?
Is there a easier email service that I can quickly get and configure, on Docmost I only need it to send Invites, I see no other way to add users.
I also tried with Gmail which was also unsuccessful.
