Using addons

Please explain the point of using addons? They are installed directly on the host, which is contrary to the point of virtualization/containerization, and do not support updates. Is this a new concept?

Here, yes. But there is also an inscription "Proxmox Node" under the script name "Coder Code Server". And other addons do not have such an inscription. There seems to be some confusion

That shows OS type in script json. If nothing is defined, it shows Proxmox Node, as Netbird can be installed on both Debian and Ubuntu containers.

Every script has clear instructions where you run it. The information you point to, bellow script name is when the script is added to the repo, what version of the app is the latest on newreleases.io and what version of OS the script is for.

It has nothing to do with in what console you run the script in
