No valid storage found for 'vztmpl' (Template).

I’m trying to install some helper-scripts but every script is giving me the same result after validating my storage. When I check my storages there there is no option for connecting Templates or vztmpl to a storage device connected to my proxmox install. Can’t figure out what’s going wrong here. Any suggestions fixing this error?

You dont have any storage marked as vztmpl

No its because the Name "storage" - Our Scripts need this as placeholder. Simply rename the storage to something meaningful.

If I run this command I do see that one of my storage devices is marked as vztmpl

Renaming the ‘storage’ to something else worked! Strangely never had issues with it before.

Is it enough to just edit storage.cfg? Or do I need to change it elsewhere as well?

Same issue here.

dir: storage
        path /hdd/storage
        content vztmpl,snippets,iso,backup
        prune-backups keep-all=1
        shared 0

It's used all across my cluster. So no way to use helper scripts anymore without renaming it?

Make a new storage from this storage with another Name? Its simple and need 2min.

Seems that just renaming it in storage.cfg dd the trick without breaking anything.

Maybe storage is not the best name for an internal placeholder.
