Description

Frigate are close to releasing Frigate 0.16 and it has been upgraded to Debian 12 (Bookworm) and Python 3.11. The release candidate is out now so hoping it's not too much trouble to add to here.
Appreciate we might want to wait until release or it to settle down!

New Base Image
The base image for Frigate has been updated to Debian 12 ("Bookworm") and Python 3.11, bringing many backend performance improvements. WARNING: The popular tteck Proxmox LXC script won't automatically support Frigate 0.16. Changes will need to be made to the script. Proxmox remains an officially unsupported installation method.

Thanks for the update I mainly created this as when I looked there wasn't a recent update post talking about Frigate 0.16 i.e. deployed to Dev Repo and Runs very bad. Thought it would be good to have a dedicated 0.16 post as lots of talk on the 0.15 post that has been locked.

Then Create an Discussion Issue in VED, but if this version is not "stable" there are no discuss here. I've been struggling and fighting with this crappy script for over 20 hours (pure development time) just to get it to run halfway decently. I still think it should probably just run in Docker and be done with it. If i dont get it stable, and smooth to work - i give up with this tool.

Agree - I've gone with the Docker approach since 0.14 and although it seems counterintuitive docker in an LXC it works reasonably well.
