• Unify OS Server is still in EA, and it doesn't replace the UniFi Network Server but supersedes it.
• Unlike UniFi Network Server, sources appear to be already containerised

Overview
UniFi OS Server allows users to run the full UniFi OS experience on their own Windows, macOS, or Linux hardware. Initially, it will support the UniFi Network and InnerSpace application.

Opting for a UniFi OS Server provides several advantages over simply running the standalone UniFi Network application:

System Requirements

• Storage:
  • Minimum: 20GB of free disk space.
• Software Dependencies:
  • The UniFi OS Server installer will typically include necessary dependencies or guide you through their setup.
  • On Linux - Podman 4.3.1 or higher.
  • On Windows - WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) version 2 - installed during setup.
• Ports used:
  • 3478, 5005, 5514, 6789, 8080, 8444, 8880, 8881, 8882, 9543, 10003, 11443.

Edit: ive tested it in DEV Repo, but in 20 trys i cannot get it to work. Everytime the same issue "no such file or directory os error 2" - idk. Waiting

People said they have managed to make it work using Ubuntu VM's just by installing podman on the release thread.

Can confirm using the ubuntu script https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE/scripts?id=ubuntu2504-vm

I was able to run updates, install podman, and then download and run the package from the release thread and it just worked, an LXC would still be more ideal but this is fine for now.

Bad, with 25.04 it works, with debian 12 and ubuntu 24.04 not. Maybe we wait a little bit more. 25.04 is not an LTS

Weird, what error messages were you getting on 24.04? Debian 13 release is in like 5 days so targeting that wouldn't be awful if it's the 6.14 kernel that's making it work.
