[Script request]: Autocaliweb #6753

I tried to port Autocaliweb's predecessor (Calibre-Web Automated) to a helper script in the past but the amount of hoops I had to jump through to get it to fit the style/format of helper scripts caused us to defer it. I've reopened the CWA project due to the dev picking up again but haven't had time to check out the new changes to see if it's now feasible. I've since been using Autocaliweb with the manual install script that is in the repo and it works OK. How do you think a helper script could improve the user experience over simply creating an LXC and running the existing script? @MickLesk Autocaliweb uses a very similar structure to Calibre-Web Automated in that there are a lot of hardcoded paths that generally conflict with the typical structure of apps installed via helper script. How far are we allowed to deviate from it? |

Where can I see more information about the calibre-web script being removed? I searched the ProxmoxVE changelog and the web and nothing is popping up even mentioning it was removed. Just curious when and what happened! |

So, a few days ago a PR was merged in the Autocaliweb repo that removed hardcoded file and directory paths. This may mean that a helper script for Autocaliweb is possible with way less headache involved. |

The autocaliweb script is ready for testing: Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated. |

Description
Since Calibre-Web is not listed anymore due to a security issue, perhaps it's a good idea to have an alternative like Autocaliweb?
