n8n old version after upgrade

I updated using the update command, and I'm still getting a message on n8n that I'm using the old version from two months ago.

_You’re on 1.97.1, which was released 2 months ago and is 10 versions behind the latest and greatest n8n_

n8n is installed and updated via official NPM package:

npm update -g n8n

please show log of this command

Thanks to Claude, I found out that I need to update node.js version to the latest version.

# Update the NodeSource repository and install latest Node 20.x
curl -fsSL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_20.x | sudo -E bash -
sudo apt-get install -y nodejs

Your install is probably old, hence why it checks for node v20.18.1. Our script is installing v22 as default for months now.

Anyway, we will probably force update all older installs to Node v22, to be 100% compatible
