Immich update error #2025-10-15

After https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/releases/tag/2025-10-15, when I type 'update' in the Immich LXC this is the output:

⠋ Adding Debian Testing reposed: can't read /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.sources: No such file or directory
⠦ Adding Debian Testing repo
[ERROR] in line 44: exit code 0: while executing command sed -i 's/ trixie-updates/ trixie-updates testing/g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.sources

Can anyone help me?

I did not tweak anything on the LXC.

@jackspiering Is your Immich LXC properly updated to Debian 13?

That directory (/etc/apt/sources.list.d) should definitely already have that file if you followed the steps to upgrade from 12 to 13.

If you installed Immich recently when it defaulted to Debian 13 please let me know, and also provide what the contents of that folder are: ls -l /etc/apt/sources.list.d

Thank you for your prompt response. I have downloaded the LXC back when it was Debian 12 Bookworm. I updates the LXC with the update command.

The output of ls -l /etc/apt/sources.list.d is: root@immich:~# ls -l /etc/apt/sources.list.d total 16 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 145 Sep 21 10:53 jellyfin.sources -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 100 Aug 4 22:45 nodesource.list -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 62 Sep 21 10:53 pgdg.list -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 158 Aug 4 23:09 tailscale.list

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie) x86_64
Kernel: 6.14.11-2-pve

It seems like the folder is missing, but I never deleted it.

I tried a dist-upgrade now, because I did not do that. Might be an issue on my side. I will come back to it.

I did the assumption that the update command updates the whole OS, but that was a wrong assumption. What fixed is was:

1. apt dist-upgrade
2. apt modernize-sources
3. reboot
4. update
