What it is
Spotweb is a web-based front‑end for the Spotnet protocol, which runs over Usenet.
Think of it as a web application that lets you browse, search and manage “spots” (posts) that are distributed via Usenet.
What it does
Indexes Usenet spots (mostly media/content posts).
Provides a web interface with categories, filters and search.
Supports user accounts, comments, ratings, filters, watchlists, etc.
Can act as a “server” for multiple users, not just a single client.
How it runs
PHP web application (Apache or Nginx + PHP-FPM).
Uses MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL to store all spot data.
Needs one or more Usenet server accounts to fetch headers/content.
