I have one LXC container with

• Paperless NGX (https://community-scripts.org/scripts/paperless-ngx)
• Paperless NGX Exporter (Addon, https://community-scripts.org/scripts/prometheus-paperless-ngx-exporter)

As far as I understand, an add-on is something you can't install standalone and should be installed on existing nodes. I was not able to find any docs about what Addons are or how they are supposed to work.

However, the addon https://community-scripts.org/scripts/prometheus-paperless-ngx-exporter supports an update functionality. Is it expected that both updates are getting triggered?

PS: I am happy to create a PR to explain what Addons are and to add this question to the Website FAQ or adding a README that explains it into https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/tree/main/tools/addon

Add the bash call in your /usr/bin/update too?

As far as I know, the /usr/bin/update is managed by the Community scripts themselves.
At least this is the standard command that is available once an application is installed.

Is this maybe a feature request to add addons there as well?

Is there some good place to document this somewhere?
