Is the container supposed to update VH+ automatically? (it does not - possible bug)

just wondering, is the container supposed to update VH+ automatically?

Cause I just restarted my container manually and saw these messages in the log (interestingly doubled):

A few minutes later I am now seeing this in the log:

According to the log my VH+ version is 0.9.4

Yes it is supposed to update V+
It will on update check execute fetch the latest release from the Github API

I just checked our server and it has updated the ZIP. When I check /opt/valheim/dl/plus/UnixServer.zip.updated_at
it contains 2021-03-14T01:13:36Z which is the date of the latest released version.

I just went back in the logs and found

So looks like it's working as intended.
We'll likely require your entire logs since the 13th to figure out why your server is running on an old version.

Do you have the earlier logs of that day? The 14th. I'm looking for the line saying Local ValheimPlus archive with size... where it updates the ValheimPlus ZIP archive and what happens after that.

Btw. to work around your issue you can always start the container with DEBUG_START_FRESH=true and it'll wipe any downloaded and installed server and mod data and start from a fresh install. Just remember to remove the flag again after restart.

Unfortunately I don't have a log prior to that date because I had pulled the image again and started the container with a new name.

I'm now thinking that this might be the issue here: I didn't wipe the content of the folder I have mounted to /opt/valheim. Maybe this causes the update problem?

Starting the container with DEBUG_START_FRESH=true fixed the problem. Thanks, Lukas! :)
