Consumer stops receiving messages #2532

Hi,

We experience moments that the consumer stops receiving messages.
In the error messages we see a lot of different errors, but it's not clear what message has as consequence the stop of the consumer.
The root cause will be probably poor network connectivity from time to time, be even in these circumstances, we need to get it stable.

Part of the error messages:

  • GroupCoordinator: b2-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092: Failed to resolve 'b2-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092': The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. (after 0ms in state CONNECT)
  • GroupCoordinator: b2-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092: Failed to resolve 'b2-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092': No such host is known. (after 10810ms in state CONNECT)
    GroupCoordinator: b2-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092: Disconnected (after 41843596ms in state UP)
  • sasl_ssl://b0-pkc-57q33g.westeurope.azure.confluent.cloud:9092/0: Connect to ipv4#20.126.247.234:9092 failed: Unknown error (after 21029ms in state CONNECT)
  • 6/6 brokers are down

It would be usefull to understand for what error message(s), there is need to restart the consumer subscription.
