Is additionalimagestores not available for btrfs or am I doing something wrong?

I found out that setting "/etc/containers/storage.conf" as

[storage]
#driver="overlay"
driver="btrfs"
graphroot="/var/lib/containers/storage"
runroot="/var/run/containers/storage"

[storage.options]
additionalimagestores=["/media/container_imgs"]
#additionalimagestores=[]

[storage.options.btrfs]
min_space=""

and running podman images yields

Error: configure storage: unknown option btrfs.imagestore ("btrfs.imagestore=/media/container_imgs")

Is there additional configuration I need to make or the feature I am looking for is not available?

yes, it is not available. It is driver specific and it works only for vfs and overlay
