can i use checkpoint on wsl2?

I'm trying to use checkpoint feature on a ubuntu guest on wsl2 but i didn't seem to work. I asked gpt and it said the reason is wsl linux kernel doesn't support CRIU. Anyone knows if that is the case? thanks.

i tried ubuntu and fedora on wsl2. i think it depends on whether the CRIU/CRUN version installed supports checkpointing. i found I can use checkpoint after i installed podman on fedora. but with ubuntu maybe you need to build from source as the podman/criu/crun provided by the software center is pretty old.
