"failed installing kubectl" error

I installed Podman Desktop for Windows 1.20.2 . And, during the setup process got this screen.

so, I clicked next and got this screen.

and it has done that for Kubectl, Kind, and Compose. And not only has it done that once, this is the second time I've installed it. I used a combination of RevoUnistaller and PowerShell 7.5.2 to get it uninstalled the first time.

What's going on? If it were a network problem, it would not have let me set up Podman in the first place.

Any ideas of what to try, or how to find the solution would be greatly appreciated. I've tried AI, and that didn't give me anything fruitful. HELP ME, please! LOL
